like a set of tools that made the job easier?
Getting Started
Since I started reviewing this suite of applications a year
ago, Adobe updated their program and WebAssist has tried very hard to keep up
with their Dreamweaver extensions. I liked what they are doing so much that we
became an affiliate on our site (see Bazaar - http://www.maccompanion.com/bazaar/computersoftware.html).
Inside Dreamweaver, I have all the tools in the menus listed
in the chart along with the free extensions such as those created for Google
support.
To get a flavor of what is going on with WebAssist apps,
jumping into the Forum makes a lot of sense - http://www.webassist.com:8119.
Understandably, there seems to be a lot of traffic in the Website Development
and ECommerce sections and fewer in the Web Design section – and there is
a job board for folks looking for work and those who are experts in their
fields willing to offer their services for a fee.
Joseph Lowery wrote the book, “Dreamweaver CS3 Bible” and he
is a VP at WebAssist and monitors the Forum. http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470122145.html
Can you build a website business using WebAssist extensions?
Yes, but it is a cutthroat environment and it is a good idea to outsource to
experts that do a great job, because businesses do not want to pay for “on the
job “ training.
These extensions help turn around website development quickly
and there are a great bunch of folks that are willing and able to help get over
those coding hurdles that inevitably show up in any project.
Conclusion
If you do website development for a living and use
Dreamweaver as the tool of choice, WebAAssist’s SuperSuite really is the way to
go for getting in, getting it done and getting out.
