Think of Imaginator on steroids. Instead of processing images, Videator is a movie-maker that takes iMovie up a notch or two or three. And if you want to mess with existing movies and have some fun, fun, fun, you can do that too. Or you can get all serious-like and make your movies look professional.

Besides grabbing all the Image Units found in Tiger, Videator also has nine of its own plugins to enhance the pictures. And just like Imaginator, it too is fully AppleScriptable. Along with those, there are 108 filters, effects and transitions that can be used to tweak snapshots, slideshows, Podcasts (yes, thatŐs right!) and QuickTime videos.

Are you familiar with LinkBack? http://www.linkbackproject.org/ Videator is also a LinkBack server.

See how Bob at Maclectic played with the program; http://maclectic.com/Static/mov/bv2.mov

You can play with it too, by downloading the app and running the 14-day trial.

1. Launch Videator - you can apply for a trial license - click OK Trial License.

2. If you have your iSight attached - you'll see a live action window - try:

            File > Live Demo

2. Watch a demo movie with effects: File > Demo Movie

3. Click on Instant Effects - and choose one of those

4. Click on my fX - and drag one onto the movie

5. If you have a video camera connected, click on the Movie icon to record a movie

6. Try out the Snapshot Camera button

Let you imagination run wild and get crazy or sedate yourself and get professional. Either way, this app is serious software at a shareware price.
